Operations

London Gateway will use operational best practice with a mix of manned and automated equipment and will deliver a significant increase in vessel handling productivity.

The port will offer major benefits to its customers. With its deep water access and advanced equipment it will realise significant economies of scale where the world’s largest vessels can be efficiently handled.

London Gateway will have its own rail terminal and feeder vessel services providing cost effective and environmentally friendly links to the rest of the UK and regional distribution centres. Barge services can be offered, linking locations along the Thames and Medway.

All these modes of transport will be available to provide the cost and service levels that our customers require.
