Compagnie Fruitière UK, a leading supplier and ripener of bananas to the UK market place, is to open a new centre at the Logistics Park

AUGUST 2020 UPDATE: LG70, the new chilled distribution centre at London Gateway, has reached practical completion ready for occupation by Compagnie Fruitière. The company will move into the 69,718 sq ft unit where the new facility will form part of their growing network of worldwide distribution centres.

Replacing Compagnie Fruitière’s existing operation in Dartford, LG70 sits at the heart of London Gateway’s Logistics Park, offering truly multimodal integration with the UK supply chain. The building has recieved both a BREEAM Outstanding rating and an EPC rating of 'A'.

DP World London Gateway can develop buildings on a built-to-suit basis, obtaining planning consent within 28 days under its Local Development Order. An image of Compagnie Fruitière’s completed facility can be found below:

MARCH 2020 UPDATE: Following last year's announcement that Compagnie Fruitière will open a ripening centre on London Gateway's Logistics Park, work has begun on the state-of-the-art development. The new port side facility will help optimise their supply chain, drive efficiency with the ripening process and help future-proof the business.


SEPTEMBER 2019 ANNOUNCEMENT: Compagnie Fruitière UK, a leading supplier and ripener of bananas to the UK market place, has announced an exciting new development for the company – the opening of a brand-new ripening centre at DP World London Gateway Logistics Park. 

The facility will be built adjacent to DP World London Gateway port and will replace Compagnie Fruitière’s existing operation in Dartford. Its new port side location will help deliver the optimum supply chain, driving efficiency within the ripening process and using technology to help future-proof the business.

The build of the new site will get underway through 2020, with the goal of being fully operational by 2021.

Within two years Compagnie Fruitière will be part of the UK’s most integrated logistics hub at DP World London Gateway, which comprises a state-of-the-art deep-sea port and rail terminal on an expansive land bank.
